We didn't get the memo....

Last Friday we were all excited for the Potato Bowl (Palmer HS vs. Wasilla). I got the kids all pumped up to go, layered on the clothes and used my electric blue eyeliner to write on their faces and of course deck out my own eyes. But we get there and no one was there. It was canceled. We had had tornado-like wind that whole day and it was still blowing in Palmer that night so the game was moved to the following Saturday. Lame. I thought Alaskan's were supposed to be tough. Play rain or shine, snow or tornado. At least that's how Jake told me it was back in the day when he grew up....
