All who wander are not lost.

So just a little updating....this last Saturday we went mudding. We've got some friends that have a huge jacked up truck (Ryan and Laci) with tractor tires, and another (Jerry the Mexican) that has a VW van, yes VAN, also on tractor tires. Usually these trips are marked with disaster after disaster...oh wait did I say "usually" because it just should be known that they ALWAYS are marked with disaster. Our friend Jerry, had all sorts of problems. It all began when he went up the mountain, only to find that it wasn't a great trail, so he turned around. On the way down, his brakes went out. So he had to ram a tree to keep from basically dying in his out of control van. Ryan's truck basically had to let Jerry ram his truck the entire way down as a means of even getting down the mountain.

So at the bottom of the mountain, Jerry gets his brakes semi-fixed. Oh but wait, there's another freaking mini-slope he needs to get down, and out goes the brakes AND partial steering too. Brilliant. Once again, things seem to get patched up when safely at the bottom. But you can't go mudding and not get in the mud right? Right. So After our friend Ryan takes his monster truck into a super deep mud hole--mind you making it even DEEPER-- Jerry decided to take his van in....Words can't even describe so just check out the video of his van. But needless to say, that little dive cracked his steering mechanisms and made those a lost cause. And with his breaks out, his rig was out for the count. So Ryan had to tow, bumper to bumper, the VW out like 15 miles at barely 10 mph. There were a few times, as we followed behind that we thought the VW was going to pull the truck off the side of the mountain on some sharp turns. Oy. I do have to say, the worst part was Hanna and Joe left early, before any of it started (yup the smart ones) and we didn't get the coolers with all the food out of their truck! So I was starving! Go figure. By the way, Joe's little white danger ranger did pretty good for having bald tires.

If you want to see some good pics, click HERE.

Oh and notice with the video of Joe's white truck, Jerry in the background trying to get Hanna's dog Bella before she committed suicide (or perhaps they really just wanted to run her over).

Alex enjoying the drive.

The danger ranger...and crazy bella.

The VW on the verge of ultimate breakdown.

Hey you forgot to mention that Jerry's steering went out. Just one more great thing to add... but it was still a ton of fun!
